65 people waiting for hospital bed in the north west



There are 65 people waiting for a bed in the north west’s two main hospitals today.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s Trolley Watch show 36 people are waiting for a bed in Letterkenny university Hospital, 4 in the emergency department and 32 in wards elsewhere.

A further 29 patients are waiting for a bed in Sligo with 11 in the emergency department and 18 elsewhere in the hospital.

In total, there are 394 patients waiting for a bed across the country with the worst being University Hospital Limerick where there are 62 waiting.
