People reminded to check where goods purchased online are being shipped from

A Midlands/North West MEP is reminding people to check where items purchased online are coming from.

Customs duties must be paid on packages from mainland Britain, now that the UK has left the EU.

If the fees haven’t been paid in advance, customers receive a bill.

By contrast, Northern Ireland remains in the EU’s Single Market for goods.

An Post are also reminding people that Tuesday is the final day to get your presents delivered to people within the country in time for Christmas.

Midlands/North West MEP, Chris MacManus, is concerned people don’t realise this when they order online.
