Residents should be relocated due to flooding says Donegal councillor

The flooding situation in a part of Donegal Town has gotten so bad that a local Councillor is calling on the local authority to seriously consider relocating the residents.

Sinn Fein Councillor, Noel Jordan says people living in the Clareden Drive area are living in fear in their own homes.

The most recent Donegal Municipal District Meeting heard the only real solution is a previously submitted €8.5m application to the Office of Public Works.

Councillor Jordan says successive Minister have ‘turned a blind eye’ to the Catchment Flood Risk Assessment (CFRAM) report into the matter.
