A boil water notice has been issues for residents availing of the Glenties-Ardara Water Supply.
Irish Water says due to Storm Barra causing water to turn murky or cloudy, the utility cannot guarantee the safety of the supply.
People must boil water for drinking or preparing food, brushing teeth and making ice.
Approximately 3,518 people around Loughros point, Ardara, Sandfield and Meenmore/Meenatinney are impacted by the decision.
It’s hoped the notice will be lifted before the end of the week.
