Sligo walk-in vaccine centre closed on Tuesday due to weather warning

The walk-in Covid-19 vaccination centre based at the Racecourse in Sligo Town will not be operating tomorrow.

The decision to cancel the service for Tuesday has been made as a precaution ahead of Storm Barra.

The cancelled times are 9am to 12pm for Healthcare workers to receive a booster vaccine and the 1pm to 4pm slot for dose 1 or 2 of a vaccine.

Additionally, a booster vaccine will be offered to those aged 60 to 69 starting at the later time of 11am on Wednesday.

Frank Harburn, Saolta General Manager for the rollout of the vaccination programme in the West and North West said appointments will be rescheduled and extra dates will be announced in time.
