67 people waiting on Hospital beds in the North West



It’s been busy day in the emergency departments at Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals.

 

It’s been confirmed that 67 people are waiting on hospital beds in the North West’s main two hospitals this morning.

 

47 are waiting at Letterkenny University Hospital.  That’s the   highest number of patients waiting on beds in hospitals across the Country.10 patients are in the emergency department in Letterkenny.

 

16 patients are currently waiting in the emergency Department in Sligo University Hospital with a total of 20 waiting throughout the Hospital.

 

According to the INMO Trolley watch figures there are 365 people waiting on beds across the country today.

 

Meanwhile the latest HSE figures claim there are 18 Covid-19 patients receiving treatment in Letterkenny University Hospital 4 of which are in the ICU.

 

A further 8 people with the virus are in Sligo University Hospital with 1 in Intensive Care.

 

There are 547 Covid patients in Irish hospitals today with 117 in ICU.
