Mica scheme: Donegal Sinn Fein TD tells government ‘go back to drawing board’



Sinn Fein’s urging the government to “go back to the drawing board” with its updated Mica redress scheme.

The 2.2 billion euro plan will see grants be made available to homeowners to cover rebuild costs up to a cap of 420,000 euro.

However Sinn Fein says due to the average size of affected homes, a sliding scale payment provision means homeowners will still have to fork out thousands themselves.
