McConalogue insists he does not want to cut national herd



The Agriculture Minister has insisted he’s not asking farmers to cut their cow herds to meet climate targets.

 

It follows a large farming protest in Dublin at the weekend.

 

The Agriculture sector has been set the task of reducing carbon emissions by 22 to 30 per cent by 2030.
