Midnight closing time leaves a sour note for wedding bands



A Donegal musician is warning the closing time of at midnight is a hammer blow for wedding bands that have been struggling since the start of the pandemic.

last weekend was the first since new restrictions were introduced with the Government warning they may not have the desired effect on Covid-19 case numbers.

Bars, restaurants and nightclubs have had to shut from midnight, while covid certs are also required to go to cinemas and theatres.

Weddings will also have to wrap up by midnight, as hotel bars are included in the new closing times.
