Face coverings appeal to fans at the Showgrounds tonight

Sligo Rovers and Bohemians football clubs are requesting their supporters attending Friday night’s final SSE Airtricity League Premier Division game of the season (kick-off: 7.45pm) to wear face coverings throughout the match.

The appeal comes in response to the high level of Covid-19 cases in the local community.

The Showgrounds is expected to be close to full capacity for tonight’s concluding game of the 2021 season.

Liam Buckley’s side are already assured of a third place finish in the table (their highest finish since 2013) and European Conference League football next season.

There will also be regular updates from Finn Park in Ballybofey where Ollie Horgan’s Finn Harps can secure their Premier Division status for next season against Longford Town, if they match Waterford’s result against St Pat’s.

Both Harps and Waterford are battling to avoid the relegation play-off spot.
