25 Covid cases and 62 waiting for beds in the north west



There are 25 Covid-19 patients and 62 people are waiting on trolleys or chairs in the north west today.

Latest HSE figures show 17 people are receiving treatment for the virus in Letterkenny University Hospital, one of which is in ICU, and there are eight patients in Sligo University Hospital with two in Intensive Care.

There are 643 confirmed Covid cases in hospital today, 119 of which are in ICU.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s Trolley Watch find 49 people are waiting for a bed in Letterkenny and 13 in Sligo out of a national total of 331.
