A West Sligo Councillor is calling for the reopening of the day care centres situated in Enniscrone and Easkey.
The Centres which would cater for approximately 60 users have been closed since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Before Covid users of the facilities would be transported to their locations where they would partake in group activities and receive meals.
This was also the main social interaction some of the people that attended the centres were able to avail of.
Ballymote Tubbercurry independent Councillor Joe Queenan says it’s a cause of equal surprise and concern that the centres have not been re-opened as restrictions eased and other centres have returned to providing normal service.
