Sligo Gardaí are renewing their appeal to the public for help in identifying a deceased man who was discovered on a beach in 2009.
His body was found at Rosses Point 12 years ago on the 16th of June; following a post-mortem at Sligo University Hospital foul play was ruled out.
Garda investigations established that the deceased man had recently arrived in Sligo and had checked himself into a Hotel under the false name of ‘Peter Bergman’ on the 12th of June.
He was sighted and captured on CCTV in and around the Sligo area for a number days before he was found deceased at Rosses Point.
A number of items of clothing believed to belong to the deceased man were found on the rocks near where he was discovered.
