Government must end ‘relentless increase’ in fuel taxes

Calls have been made on the Government to end the relentless increases in fuel taxes, which are penalising consumers at forecourts across the North West.

That’s according to Fuels for Ireland who claim that the costs are disproportionately affecting people in counties such as Sligo Leitrim and Donegal who have limited access to public transport and alternative fuel sources.

Speaking on behalf of FFI members, Kevin McPartlan is calling on the government to resist from adding more taxes on to the price of fuels
