Udder-disaster avoided after legen-dairy rescue

An udder-disaster was avoided after a legen-dairy rescue by Bundoran RNLI.

The volunteer lifeboat crew were tasked to help at Tullan Strand yesterday just after 4.30pm when a cow was spotted in the surf by a passerby.

Rescue Helicopter 118 was also involved in the incident.

By using the noise and wind generated by it’s blades, the crew were able to encourage the animal back to shore.

Bundoran RNLI Volunteer Lifeboat Press Officer, Shane Smyth described what happened.
