A man in his 20’s has been charged in connection to a drugs seizure in Co. Leitrim.
Another man, also in his 20’s, has been released without charge and a file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The man who has been charged is to appear before Carrick on Shannon District Court on Tuesday the 26th of October.
At around 9am Saturday morning, Gardaí from Ballinamore Garda Station and members of the Armed Support Unit carried out a search at a residence in the town.
Cannabis estimated to be worth €50,000 and suspected cocaine worth approximately €5,000 was found.
The two men in their 20’s were arrested and were detained at Carrick on Shannon Garda Station.
The seized drugs will be sent for further analysis.
