A Sligo Councillor says a road ramp in Rockfield, Coolaney should be removed and a pedestrian crossing installed instead.
Sinn Feinn’s Thomas healy says the ramp is too high and the paint colour is similar to a pedestrian crossing, which he says, is causing confusion for both pedestrians and motorists.
He believes a pedestrian crossing by the Sacred Heart and St. Joseph’s Church would serve the community better and make the area safer.
Councillor Healy says during a funeral, the hearse faces difficulties in passing the ramp due to it’s height.
