Harps win at Bohs, Rovers hit for four in Dundalk

Finn Harps produced one of their best away performances of the season to date with a spirited 2-1 against Bohemians on Friday night, as Sligo Rovers suffered their heaviest league defeat of the season, going down 4-1 to Dundalk at Oriel Park.

Sean Murray and Pat Hoban both scored twice as Dundalk ended a six-game winless run. The Lillywhites were beaten 2-1 by Rovers in the corresponding fixture at the Showgrounds 10 days ago.

Johnny Kenny’s fine finish was one of the few highlights for Liam Buckley’s side on the night.

Shamrock Rovers have opened up a nine-point lead at the top of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.

An injury-time own goal from Nahum Melvin-Lambert handed Rovers a 1-nil win at St. Pat’s.
