Eamonn O’Hara joins Sligo under-20 management team

Eamonn O’Hara has agreed to become a selector with the Sligo under-20 gaelic football team.

He will assist manager Dessie Sloyan for the 2022 Connacht Championship campaign.

The two were county team-mates for many years during a successful period for Sligo in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Sloyan, who’s preparing for his third season as Sligo U20 boss, spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan about O’Hara’s appointment…

Con O’Meara, Richard Kennedy and Paul Higgins will also remain as part of the backroom team next season.

Sligo had a challenging 2021 U20 Connacht Championship campaign, which was interrupted by a Covid outbreak and pandemic lockdowns.

They were beaten by eventual All-Ireland finalists Roscommon by seven points (4-14 to 2-13) in this year’s provincial U20 championship semi-final.
