BreastCheck are supplying a second unit in Donegal for the next three weeks with the aim of screening around 770 women in this time.
Members from Donegal Action for Cancer Care recently met with BreastCheck representatives where it was confirmed the unti will operate from the Council Office in Donegal Town.
Betty Holmes of BACC says there are hopes the temporary unit could be extended to a toal of 27 days which would mean around 945 would be able to be seen.
Speaking to OceanFM News, she is encouraging people who receive an appointment to attend.
