The TD’s in the Sligo/ Leitrim Constituency are being called on to take action to combat the moves by the Shannon LNG which aims to secure planning permission to build a Facility on the Shannon that will include a LNG terminals.
The government had previously promised to implement policy that will prevent Fracked Gas being imported into Ireland.
Local opposition groups to the proposal in the north west claim that the government has stepped back from taking any action to follow through on this promise.
