Further Covid restrictions to be eased in next six weeks



Covid-19 restrictions could be eased across the North West inside the space of the next six weeks.

 

It’s believed NPHET’s recommending the move.

Speculation in relation to the further easing of the Covid-19 restrictions increased after yesterday’s at which it’s understood public health officials made the decision to recommend to the government to introduce a ‘personal responsibility’ model.

 

It’s thought rising rates of vaccination will present the government with more options, as it prepares to publish its updated roadmap for reopening next week.

 

Yesterday, the Department of Health reported 2,051 new Covid-19 cases, as well as 18 further deaths relating to the virus in the past week.
