A total of 16 towns and villages across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are to recieve funding to enhance streetscapes and shopfronts.
€320,000 has been allocated for Co. Donegal while Sligo and Leitrim will both receive €220,000 from a national fund of €7m.
Laghey in Co. Donegal, Kinlough and Dromahair in Co. Leitrim and Enniscrone, Tubbercurry, Ballisodare and Grange are the areas in the OceanFM region are benefitting.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Laghey based Councillor, Micheal Naughton says it will hopefully improve areas and gives an idea of what the money can be spent on.
