52 people waiting on hospital beds in the North West



There are over 50 people waiting for beds this morning in the North West , according to today’s INMO Trolley watch figures.

 

There are 27 people waiting at Letterkenny University Hospital and 25 at Sligo University Hospital.

 

The national figure stands at 305.

 

There are 10 people waiting in the emergency department in Sligo and 20 people in Letterkenny’s emergency department.

 

When it comes to the number of patients being treated for Covid-19 there are 318 people with Covid-19 are being treated in hospital, a jump of over 100 patients in two weeks.

 

The total has increased by 21 per cent since last Monday, owing to a big jump in admissions between Saturday and yesterday.

 

60 Covid patients are in intensive care – the highest figure since early April.
