Donegal musician says support for live events sector needs to be extended by six months



A renowned Donegal traditional fiddle player says the Pandemic Unemployment Payment for those in the live events sector needs to be extended by six months.

The rate of PUP is due to be cut from the 7th of September with it being phased out entirely by February.

But the Music and Entertainment Association of Ireland has warned financial supports will need to be kept while they’re unable to make a living.
