Gardaí in Donegal Town are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision.
A woman in her late 20’s was seriously injured when she fell from a bus and was struck by a passing vehicle at Ardnawark, Barnesmore Gap on Friday at around 3.45pm.
The woman was airlifted to to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin where she later passed away; a post mortem is to take place.
The road is closed this morning as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are conducting an examination of the scene.
The incident occurred on the Southern side of the Derg Line with south bound motorists being diverted back through Ballybofey, all other traffic is being diverted through Glenties.
