Donegal County Council to adopt ‘Tobacco Free Campus’ policy



Donegal County Council are adopting a ‘Tobacco Free Campus’ policy.

Cathoirleach of the local authority, Jack Murray says they are ‘leading by example’ by promoting the de-normalisation of smoking.

The council were the first to introduce tobacco free playgrounds in the country in 2009.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Healthy Donegal Coordinator with the Council, Margaret Fitzgerald says the adoption of the policy is a precursor to the ‘Not Around Us’ campaign in September.
