Sligo Rovers slump to fifth defeat in a row

Sligo Rovers slumped to their fifth consecutive defeat in all competitions on Saturday night when they were beaten 1-0 by Finn Harps in the North West Derby at the Showgrounds.

Kosovar Sadiki’s  header from Karl O’Sullivan’s free-kick early in the second-half proved to be the matchwiinner.

Rovers dominated possession for much of the first half and created a number of chances, but they failed to take any of them.

Listen to Liam Buckley’s explanation for Rovers recent poor run of form – which has now seen them lose their last five game across all competitions.

Harps, who were without a win in their previous nine games, worked tirelsesslythroughout and, in the end, deserved the three points.
