Vaccination centres open this weekend with no appointment needed



People across the region are being encouraged to attend a walk in vaccination centre this bank holiday weekend to receive their first dose of the Pfizer/BioNtech Covid-19 vaccine.

The centre at the Knocknarea Arena at ITSligo is open with no appointment needed from 10am to 2pm today (Saturday), Sunday and Monday.

While the Carrick on Shannon clinic in Co. Leitrim will be open from 10am to 4pm on Bank Holiday Monday.

Anyone in Ireland over the age of 16 can access the free service with people needing to bring their PPSN, Eircode, phone number, email address and photo ID.

Siobhan McEniffe, Operational Site Manager at the ITSligo Vaccination Centre is encouraging people to attend and says tourists can also avail of the service.
