Philip and Heidi O’Donnell, proud parents of Olympian Christopher O’Donnell, spoke to Ocean FM Sport on Friday shortly after watching their son qualify for an Olympic final.
The North Sligo Athletic Club runner anchored the Ireland 4×400 metres mixed relay team to an eventual second place finish in their heat.
They now run in the final on Saturday, which takes place at 1.35pm Irish time.
