Cabinet will be updated on the Common Agricultural Policy strategic plan today.
Agriculture Minister and Donegal TD, Charlie McConalogue will tell colleagues the plan for spending the almost 11 billion euro needs to be submitted this year to guard some 2 billion in farm payments in 2023.
He’ll also say the next CAP will have its highest ever levels of climate ambition and a nationwide farmer consultation will take place soon.
