Funding supports for Knock and Donegal Airports

Ireland West Airport, Knock and Donegal Airport are to benefit from a Covid-19 support scheme.

Just over €1.9m is allocated for Ireland West and €142,000 for Donegal.

An EU fund of €23m is being distributed around the country with €3m will be distributed for Knock, Kerry and Donegal; a further sum will be given in December.

€20m to state airports in Dublin, Cork and Shannon, the majority of which, almost €18m is going to Dublin Airport alone.

The money is aimed at compensating airports for a portion of the damage caused by the pandemic and was announced today my Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Hildegarde Naughton.

She explains how the funding was allocated.
