Gardai in Letterkenny are investigating a fatal hit and run in the early hours of this morning.
A 34 year old woman died after she was struck by a white van at around 2.45am on the N15 at Townparks in Lifford.
The vehicle failed to remain at the scene, and the van and the driver have yet to be located.
Traffic diversions are in place and the scene has been preserved for a forensic examination.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who has any information including dashcam footage to come forward.
