Construction of Donegal Town Primary Care Centre due to finish by months end



Construction of the new state of the art Primary Care Centre located at Drumlonagher, Donegal Town is due to finish at the end of the month.

Fitting out the building with all the necessary medical equipment is estimated to take around three months with hopes it can open by October or November this year.

The centre will provide a range of services including GP, public health nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy.

There will also be a new ambulance base at the centre including adult mental health services, early intervention service, dental services and TUSLA will also have be located in the centre.

Donegal Town based Independent Councillor and member of the Regional Health Forum West, Tom Conaghan is welcoming the news.

He says the new Primary Care Centre will be of great benefit to everyone in the town and surrounding areas.
