Spectator limits at sporting events to increase this weekend



500 supporters will now be able to attend can Saturday’s Christy Ring Cup game in Hurling between Sligo against Offaly at Markievicz Park.

The Government has announced it’s moving forward its planned changes to spectator limits at sporting grounds to this weekend.

For grounds with a capacity above 5000, 500 fans can get in.

That change will also apply now to Sligo Rovers away league fixture against Longford Town at Bishopsgate on Saturday evening.

That ground has an official capacity just above 5000.

 

Saturday’s Christy Ring Cup Group B play-off between Sligo & Offaly will be live on Ocean FM from 3pm – in association with Shoot The Crows Sligo, proudly supporting Sligo hurling for the past 30 years.
