North west farmers to benefit under new CAP decisions



In farm news this evening there is significant developments on talks in Brussels on the Common Agricultural Policy.

The Irish Natura and Hill Farmers Association says the negotiations are going to have a favourable outcome for many farmers in the North West.

A minimum of 85% figure has been on convergence of payments.

Frontloading of payments will also be mandatory, with a 10% redistribution of payments going from larger to medium sized farms
