CCTV footage and drones could be used to tackle illegal dumping under new proposals.
The government has agreed to the general scheme of the Circular Economy Bill which includes provisions for footage to be used under GDPR rules.
Such methods have not been allowed to prosecute people since the introduction of the rules.
