The President of the Irish Farmers Association has expressed his disappointment that the Leitrim branch of the organisation decided not take part in the national day of action which was staged on Friday last.
Events took place at venues across the county last week to highlight the importance of the agricultural to rural towns and villages.
Rallies were staged in Raphoe in Donegal and Ballymote in Sligo.
The Leitrim branch of the IFA stated that they were not protesting due to concerns over farm payments to active farmers.
IFA President Tim Cullinan says he was disappointed that Leitrim was the only county where a rally failed to take place.
