McHugh says mica homeowners need clarity

A Donegal TD says that homeowners impacted by Mica or Pyrite will be looking for a decisive plan of action to emerge from a meeting between the Taoiseach and State Attorney General which is scheduled to take place this week.

Michael Martin and Paul Gallagher are to meet in the coming days to discuss the mica and pyrite scandal which is impacting homes in Donegal, Sligo, and Mayo.

It’s understood that the Government is keen to pursue those responsible for the production of the defective blocks as well as dealing with insurance companies that have not helped those affected.

Donegal Fine Gael TD Joe McHugh says those impacted by Mica must be entitled to 100% redress just like homeowners impacted by Pyrite.
