Decisions from Leitrim and Sligo county councils are expected this week on planning applications for proposed wind turbines at Croagh, near Dromahair, in north Leitrim.
Nearly 200 submissions have been made to the councils in relation to the applications.
One submission from Leitrim Wind Industry Awareness has comments and signatures from 120 people.
Among those questioning the need for another wind farm in the area is Wind Aware Dromahair.
Spokeswoman Adrienne Diamond says they are waiting anxiously for the decisions from Sligo and Leitrim county councils.
