Cllr and Garda Supt at odds over volume of checkpoints at Carrick



The volume of Garda checkpoints in the Carrick area of South West Donegal has led to a clash of words between Councillor Niamh Kennedy and Garda Superintendent, Colm Nevin. Cllr Kennedy has claimed local residents feel alienated by constantly being stopped but Supt Nevin says the checkpoints are there for Covid reasons, as they are in other policing districts
