No abortion services available in Sligo, three years after referendum



Just one in 10 GPs provide abortion services, according to a new report published by the National Women’s Council.

The Irish Congress of General Practitioners say a third of practices “are very committed” to providing abortion care.

The study found people in rural areas face extra challenges in accessing services, with no care available in County Sligo.
