Cross border investigation should be launced into Dumping



A Donegal Councillor is calling for a full investigation to be conducted north and south of the border into incidents of dumping in Donegal over the weekend.

 

The carcases of 19 dead sheep by anglers in the Termon River while a substantial amount of rubbish was also dumped on the Mervin Road in Laghey.

 

Michael McMahon is a Donegal Municipal District Councillor.   He says some of the rubbish dumped in Laghey originated in Tuam in Co Galway.

 

The Sinn Féin Councillor says a full investigation with cross border cooperation is needed to establish those responsible for the dumping:
