Meeting about Donegal Covid rate described as ‘very positive’

More walk in test centres and antigen testing in schools were some of the topics discussed at a meeting about the spread of Covid-19 in Co. Donegal.

The high rate is being contributed to some people not following public health guidelines at a local level as HSE data shows no major impact from Northern Ireland.

The meeting between health and government officials was organised because Donegal has the highest incidence rate in the country and Tony Holohon expressed concern over non-compliance there.

Minister of State at the Department of Health, Frank Feighan, who was in attendance said it was ‘very positive’.

Speaking to OceanFM News, the Sligo/Leitrim TD says the majority of people in Donegal have got the levels down before and will get them down again.
