The Minister for Agriculture, Donegal TD Charlie McConalogue has confirmed that buyers can return to mart rings from the 17th of May.
Buyers must set up an appointment prior to going to the mart and online trading will also continue alongside in person buying and selling.
Minister McConalogue said that cattle throughput from the 1st of January to the 14th of March was at 94% compared to 2020 while sheep throughput was at 100% over the same period.
