Latest Covid-19 figures for your local electoral areas



The Covid-19 infection rates in the local region varied from percentage figures of 28.4 to 182.5 per 100,000 of population in the latest 14 day incidence figures which were published by the Department of Health.

 

 

Manorhamilton registered the most cases and highest rate in the Ocean FM franchise area.

11 cases were detected in the north Leitrim area between April 6th and April 19th a rate of infection per 100,000 population of 101.7

 

There were concerns all week in relation to a surge of cases in Leitrim. A percentage rate of 182.5 was returned in the Ballinamore electoral area.  This area also covers Drumshanbo and Dowra where recent outbreaks were recorded.  The number of cases in the Ballinamore electoral area was registered at 18.

 

8 cases were recorded in both the Sligo/Drumcliff and Sligo/Tubbercurry local electoral areas.  This represented percentage figures of 45.3 and 29.9 respectively.

 

The rate in the Sligo Strandhill local electoral area was 28.4 or 6 cases.

 

Despite Donegal as a county returning high numbers, the 14 day incidence rate in the Donegal electoral area was relatively low.  8 cases were detected in the 14 day period or a percentage rate of 30.2 per 100,000 thousand population.
