A North West MEP says it’s vital that the north west and border regions retail their eligibility for EU regional aid for businesses in the coming years.
New guidelines published by the EU mean that Ireland willhave to cut the number of regions and populations eligible eligible for the scheme, which allows the state to invest in businesses without breaking EU State Aid rules.
MEP Chris Mac Manus says it’s important the north west and the border regions are protected as much as possible.
