ATM’s will not be retained in Ballymote and Tubbercurry

The ATM’s in Ballymote and Tubbercurry will not be retained after Bank of Ireland closes their branches there later this year.

While neither building the branches are in will be given to Sligo County Council, as previously requested by Cathoirleach of Sligo County Council, Dara Mulvey has described as very disappointing.

Head of Bank of Ireland for Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim, Barry Gallagher stated in a letter to Councillor Mulvey that the building in Tubbercurry is on a lease while the bank aims to try and sell the building in Ballymote.

Councillor Mulvey says the Ballymote building could have been used by the community or as a working hub.
