Donegal ETB calls for Brollagh school to remain open

The Donegal Education and Training Board has joined those calling for St Mary’s High School in Brollagh, near Belleek, to remain open.

As well as students from County Fermanagh, the school also takes pupils from neighbouring areas in counties Donegal and Leitrtim.

Donegal ETB has now contacted the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools to postpone the closure of St Mary’s.

A past pupil of the school, Sinn Fein MLA Jemma Dolan says the Doneal ETB request is to allow time for a cross-border appoach to be taken in relation to the schoool closure.
