The HSE’s director of public health for Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim is asking people to remain vigilant over the Easter period as the fight against Covid-19 continues.
Restrictions are scheduled to be eased from April 12th but Dr Anthony Breslin points out that there were increases in cases after Christmas and after St Patrick’s Day.
With much media coverage now about relaxation of restrictions, there may be a tendency for people to relax their guard immediately, particularly over Easter.
But Dr Breslin says continued vigilance is key.
